Varang Nord is a folk metal band from the cold woodlands of Latvia. Their combine harsh death metal riffs with epic accordion chants, creating a unique blend of northern pagan/folk metal. Their songs praise a mighty battle, a bloody sacrifice to the Old Gods and a joyful northern feast with endless mugs of ale. Founded in 2014, since then Varang Nord realesed four studio albums: “Fire of the North”(2014), “Master of the Forest” (2015), “Call of Battle” (2017) and “Pārķiuņa Uomurs” (2021); few music videos and played a lot of shows across the Europe, including European Black Pilgrimage Tour 2023 with legendary BATUSHKA and ARKONA. Their crowning achievement thus far is winning Wacken Metal Battle 2019.
Deodium is a blackened death metal project from Rīga. Its origins can be found in year 2009 when the guys decided to learn musical instruments to create their own band.
