The Synagogues of Kazimierz
Despite World War II and the shifting borders, there still remain ca. 300 synagogues in Poland. Kraków's Kazimierz with seven of them is a true marvel. This year we will be focusing our attention on Reformed Judaism and the problems and dilemmas of assimilation. However, there will also be some history, liturgy, the role of women and symbolism all of which were important in shaping the everyday life of the Jews, also in Kraków.
